Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Respiratory virus infections pose significant global health challenges, with viruses such as influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), human coronaviruses (including SARS-CoV-2), and others causing seasonal outbreaks and occasional pandemics. Understanding the genetic variability, transmission dynamics, and clinical outcomes of these viruses is crucial for rapidly developing and implementing effective prevention, control, and management strategies.

This Special Issue provides a unique opportunity for researchers to contribute their latest findings and advancements in the field of respiratory virus infections. It aims to explore the diverse aspects of human respiratory viruses, from genomics and epidemiology to diagnostics and management, with the ultimate goal of enhancing our understanding and strategies for combating these infections and fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among researchers working across the globe in various disciplines related to respiratory virus infections.

Potential authors are invited to submit original research articles, reviews and perspectives that cover a wide range of topics on novel therapeutic strategies, vaccine development, antiviral therapies, and public health interventions to mitigate the impact of respiratory virus outbreaks.
