Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Increasing atmospheric concentrations of methane and CO2 contribute substantially to global climate change. A sustainable path to cope with this grave threat is the conversion of these greenhouse gases into value-added products. We have witnessed the development of electrocatalysis for CO2 reduction, which is close to commercialization, and the state-of-the-art chemical conversion of methane with direct or indirect route. Future technologies are moving towards higher carbon- and energy-efficiency and lower energy- and capital-input.
Emergence of methods such as photocatalysis and bioprocesses provides opportunities to achieve these goals.
This special issue aims to report the latest advances in the innovation of existing methane and CO2 conversion technologies, and particularly in the fundamental and applied aspects of emerging methods. We would like to invite researchers with expertise covering various fields to contribute to this issue. Original research articles and critical reviews are welcome.

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Molecules is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
