The 3rd International Electronic Conference on Microbiology

Dear scientists, researchers, and authors,

We are pleased to announce that the 3rd International Electronic Conference on Microbiology (ECM 2025) is back. The conference is organized by the MDPI journal Microorganisms (ISSN: 2076-2607; Impact Factor: 4.1) and will take place online on 1–3 April 2025 (Central European Time).

ECM 2025 invites researchers from academia, as well as microbiology practitioners, to contribute original findings, novel ideas, scientific concepts, new technologies, and experiences to address diversity in various fields. The conference will focus on fostering discussions related to health and disease, food safety and bioprocesses, with a special emphasis on microbiology. We encourage submissions that cover the following topics:

  • S1. Gut Microbiota and Health Disease;
  • S2. Foodborne Pathogens and Food Safety;
  • S3. Antimicrobial Agents and Resistance;
  • S4. Emerging Infectious Diseases;
  • S5. Microbiome and Soil Science;
  • S6. Microbial Characterization and Bioprocesses;
  • S7. Microbe–Plant Interactions.

Important Dates

  • Deadline for Abstract Submission: 3rd December 2024;
  • Abstract Acceptance Notification: 6th January 2025;
  • Registration Deadline: 3rd March 2025.

Note: We will accept abstracts for this conference only. To publish a conference proceedings paper for free and submit a full manuscript to Microorganisms (ISSN: 2076-2607, Impact Factor: 4.1), please refer to “Publication Opportunities”.

Best Oral Presentation Award and Best Poster Award
Number of awards available: 6
There will be five winners selected for these awards. They will each receive CHF 200, along with an offer to publish an extended paper in a Special Issue of Microorganisms.
