Young Investigator Award

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Processes 2021 Young Investigator Award is Prof. Dr. Anton Rassõlkin.

Prof. Dr. Anton Rassõlkin was born in Tallinn, Estonia, in 1985. He completed his PhD in Electric Drives and Power Electronics at Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia) in 2014. In addition, in 2010, he received his Dipl.-Ing. degree in Automation from the University of Applied Science Giessen-Friedberg (Germany). He has worked as an electrical engineer for several companies and as a lecturer at various universities. Currently, he holds the position of Professor in Mechatronics at the Department of Electrical Power Engineering and Mechatronics, School of Engineering, Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech). His main research interests are mechatronics and electrical drives, particularly for electric transportation, as well as autonomous vehicles. He is a member of IEEE (S’12-M’16-SM’20) and the Estonian Society of Moritz Hermann Jacobi. Prof. Dr. Rassõlkin has an outstanding publication record, comprising 50 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and more than 100 publications at international conferences. His Scopus Scientific Citations number is 461 and he has a Hirsch index of 10. Clearly, he is a rising star in the field of mechatronics. This is an outstanding achievement in today’s competitive environment. Please join us in congratulating Prof. Dr. Anton Rassõlkin for his outstanding achievements.

As the awardee, Prof. Dr. Anton Rassõlkin will receive an honorarium of 2000 CHF, an offer to publish a paper free of charge in Processes, and an engraved plaque.
