The Special Issue on "Efficient and Sustainable Heating and Cooling Systems" aims to explore and showcase cutting-edge research and advancements in energy-efficient and sustainable heating and cooling technologies. This issue invites contributions from researchers, experts, and practitioners working on various aspects related to the design, development, implementation, and optimization of heating and cooling systems that prioritize efficiency, environmental friendliness, and long-term sustainability.
The focus of this Special Issue is to address the increasing demand for energy-efficient solutions to meet heating and cooling needs, considering the challenges posed by climate change and the necessity to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The issue welcomes submissions encompassing a wide range of topics, including innovative HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) technologies, renewable energy integration, smart control systems, energy storage, heat pumps, district heating and cooling systems, thermal insulation, and building energy management.

For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Processes is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
