10th Anniversary
The year 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of Recycling, a peer-reviewed open access journal on the recycling and reuse of resources, including circular economy perspectives. With an Impact Factor of 4.6 and a CiteScore of 8.9, the journal can be found in ESCI (Web of Science), Scopus, DOAJ, and other databases. The excellent work of this journal would not be possible without the contributions made by our editors, authors, and reviewers. To date, it has published more than 810 papers from more than 3102 authors, and over 1882 reviewers have reviewed for the journal at least once.
In honor of the journal’s 10th anniversary, we are reflecting on our past accomplishments and embarking on an exciting new chapter. We invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone for our journal and to explore the content we have prepared for you below.
Journal History
The inaugural issue was released. Recycling was published as a quarterly journal. Prof. Dr. Michele John was appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of Recycling.
Recycling was indexed in Scopus–Elsevier.
Recycling received its first CiteScore (2019) of 2.9.
Recycling was indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)–Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).
Recycling adopted a bimonthly publication schedule.
Recycling received its first Impact Factor (4.3).
Recycling received its 2023 Impact Factor (4.6), ranked 41/90 (Q2) in “Green & Sustainable Science & Technology”.
Recycling received its CiteScore (2024) of 8.9, ranked 33/150 (Q1) in “Waste Management and Disposal”, 88/460 (Q1) in “General Materials Science”, and 55/406 (Q1) in “Management, Monitoring, Policy and Law”.
Recycling announced the first edition of the Best Paper awards.
Recycling adopted a monthly publication schedule.
