Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that, together with the Editorial Team of Sustainability, we are preparing a Special Issue titled "Environmentally Friendly Energy Systems in Buildings". Therefore, I invite you to submit your original research articles for publication in our upcoming issue.

The main theme of this Special Issue covers comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge in the field of energy management, thermal protection and thermal–humidity phenomena in buildings, and is intended to explore and exchange knowledge in the field of energy systems and energy management in buildings. Through a collection of scientific articles, reviews and case studies, this Special Issue aims to shed light on the latest achievements in the field of building energy, including renewable energy sources, building management systems and modern technological solutions, including numerical modeling.

We are seeking articles that will contribute to the discussion in the thematic scope of our Special Issue and which will contribute to the development of current scientific knowledge on the mentioned topic. We encourage you to follow the editorial guidelines available on the Sustainability website and to submit your work electronically.

The editors of this Special Issue will be happy to accept your contribution to the scientific discussion and guarantee a thorough review of each submitted article. I encourage you to actively participate in the creation of this new Special Issue with high-quality research. Thank you in advance for your interest and I look forward to your cooperation.

In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews are welcome.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Sustainability is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
