Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Studies into the role of dust and gas in the evolution of galaxies have received a major uplift with the advent of sensitive instruments and facilities such as the ALMA, Keck, and the VLT. To establish a major reference mark, we aim to explore the relationship between star formation, nuclear activity, and gas/dust in galaxies. We invite contributions to this Special Issue from the community that address the connection between the gas/dust and accreting supermassive black holes in quasar host galaxies, the nature of hot/cold molecular flows in quasars at different redshifts and across the electromagnetic spectrum, and the prospects of detecting first stars in galaxies in the timeframe of JWST.

Research on the panchromatic view of galaxies and their role in characterizing the cosmological ladder as proposed here fits neatly within the scope of the journal.
