Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Water security is the management of complex and interrelated water risks. Within our water systems, one user’s choices can impact the water security and health of many others, such as through abstraction, pollution or storage of water. These impacts can be exacerbated by climate variability and change. Managing water security requires awareness of these varied human health impacts, which may range from diarrhoeal and mosquito-borne diseases, to psychosocial impacts, muscular–skeletal, and impacts on child development, such as stunting and cognitive impairment.
This Special Issue focuses on “Water Security and Health” and welcomes contributions that address the different interactions between water security and health, which help us to understand the positive and negative impact water management can have on human health and how we can manage water for better health outcomes.

Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
