This was the only journal with the correct scope that combined the environment with public health. In addition, they currently had a special issue about surface water which was a perfect fit for our study. The reviewers gave helpful comments that improved our paper. Even though the process included a second and third round of reviews and comments, the paper only took 14 days from submission to publication. This is amazing, especially with a thorough peer review! most journals take at least two months and I have had some take more than six months. Every other journal should be able to do this.”
