“I was looking for the right journal for a paper that combined isolates from the surface water environment with genetic and pathogenic characterization. This was the only journal with the correct scope that combined the environment with public health. In addition, they currently had a special issue about surface water which was a perfect fit for our study. The reviewers gave helpful comments that improved our paper. Even though the process included a second and third round of reviews and comments, the paper only took 14 days from submission to publication. This is amazing, especially with a thorough peer review! most journals take at least two months and I have had some take more than six months. Every other journal should be able to do this.”
