Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The present review on the metabolic reprogramming of immune system cells in tumours is very current and well organized. The bulk of evidence to date suggests that tackling metabolic vulnerabilities of immune cells could provide a great opportunity to overcome immunosuppression and improve cancer therapy. However, the Figure 1, despite containing a lot of information, should be improved in terms of increasing image resolution.

Author Response

We appreciate the interest in our work, the detailed evaluation, and the helpful suggestion. As requested, in the revised version of the manuscript we improved the resolution of the figure 1.

Reviewer 2 Report

The present review of Flati and co-workers is a very readable article. Although many reviews regarding immunometabolism are circulating, the idea to split metabolism of relevant immune cells and their role in cancer is outstanding and makes it easier for the reader to get orientated in this complex field. The text is supported by a very helpful and clearly arranged table and artwork. The citations are well choosen and also useful links for a broader readership.

Yours sincerly
