Dear Reviewer:

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our manuscript. Please find the detailed responses below and the corresponding revisions/corrections highlighted in the re-submitted manuscript.

  1. Problems of inappropriate figure size or resolution are fixed.
  2. English language is edited as needed and marked red in the manuscript.
  3. As supplemented in the manuscript, the barber-pole structure/electrode is a typical electrode structure which arrange a 45° or 135° angle between the electrode and the magnetoresistive film to obtain a linear output around zero magnetic field. Necessary reference is added.
  4. Descriptions are supplemented for variables like Vdd and gxy values in paragraphs or equations.
  5. Several text variables should have been italic or subscripts are corrected.
  6. Angle α in line 94 is now useless and deleted since the very paragraph is rewritten.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The manuscript introduces a novel magnetic induction switch for a sensing device. In my opinion it needs only minor corrections for improvement.

  1. Write some additional sentences to show what are barber pole structure and barber pole electrode.
  2. In Fig 1c, Fig 4b, use larger fonts on the axes like in Fig 7. In Fig 8 the axes are hardly seen.
  3. There are some variables without description like Vdd, furthermore gxy values in equations 3-5.
  4. Throughout the text variables occur frequently without changing to italic and subscripts.
  5. At the top of page 3 authors claim "theta" is equal to "alpha". Why is important to emphasize it, as alpha occurs not any more in the text. Give details when they are equal and when they are not.

Comments on the Quality of English Language

English is basically good, but authors should go through the entire text for minor correction. In Introduction, line 28 I recommend to write rather "sensing device is relatively low so a high precision processing circuit is needed".
