The article is relevant, because techniques are still being sought for accurate, but at the same time easy-to-implement, pavement structure design and their longevity prediction. This, in turn, can help make the right decision on the maintenance strategy in a timely manner, as well as save significant resources. However, the article draws too general conclusions, so it would be a good to include specific quantitative values. It should be checked that the axes Fig. 12 are correct.  Since the most important factors in the design of a road surface are strain factors, it is recommended to refer to DOI: 10.1155/2021/8850368, where the built-in sensors show what the real strains are under heavy traffic.

Thank you for submitting this paper. It is an interesting study on the mechanistic analysis of bituminous pavements to support the decision-making process for the maintenance of the road network. The paper is well-written and easy to follow. The conclusions are in line with the experimental data and the speculations proposed by the authors. A minor revision in required to spot typos in the text.
