GPR 2024

The 20th International Conference on Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR 2024) will be held in Changchun, Jilin, China, from June 23 to June 27, 2024. The conference has been held every two years since 1986. The theme of this year’s conference is “GPR for a better city”. GPR is a powerful technology that has the potential to greatly improve city infrastructure and planning. It utilizes electromagnetic waves to detect and map subsurface features, making it a valuable tool for various applications in urban environments. GPR has also other useful applications. This conference provides a significant opportunity for scientists, engineers, and companies around the world to discuss the latest advances in GPR. We invite you to participate in GPR 2024 and look forward to meeting you in Changchun!

Title

Introduction

Short Course A:

gprMax

gprMax is an open-source software that simulates electromagnetic wave propagation. gprMax was designed for modelling Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) but can also be used to model electromagnetic wave propagation for many other applications. This short course is about how to make full use of gprMax!

Short Course B:

GPR data processing

This short course is provided by Prof. Jan Francke, and it is concerns basic and advanced GPR data processing and useful software for data processing. We also invite attendees to bring their own datasets to the course so that we can all try to process and interpret them together!
