Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Artificial intelligence has been the focus of global research in recent years. This field, which includes the intelligence of computer computation, has significantly enhanced the stability of automated production in factories. It is a key measure for improving service quality by merging factory production and manufacturing. However, due to its widespread application across various sectors, there is a need for research in related areas that include network transmission, cloud computing, edge computing, and other software and hardware communication layers.

These elements are extensively utilized in IoT computing to develop transformative technologies through intermediary agent layers. This Special Issue aims to address the technical challenges associated with the distributed computing of numerous devices.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Federated learning and edge computing in artificial intelligence;
  • Data collection and analysis in intelligent computing;
  • Optimizing resource allocation and management;
  • Computer vision and creative computing;
  • Intelligent Internet of Things with edge/cloud computing;
  • Intelligent system;
  • Other research issues about smart computing and the Internet of Things.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. With the rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT) in recent years, many IoT devices use communication systems to transmit data. Data packets are inevitably at risk of tampering during data transmission, which can lead to information errors and damage during communication. Since IoT terminals are often operated under human supervision, it is essential to improve and ensure the transmission of information, avoid data tampering, and ensure the accuracy of packet transmission. This research successfully improves the message transmission method of IoT communication and the communication model by combining it with blockchain architecture. Combining communication protocols with blockchain serial connections eliminates the need to control operating and managing processes. By replacing message transmission with coverage, the reliability of data transmission in the IoT communication system is improved, and the flexibility of the data transmission process is enhanced. Through practical verification through experimentation, the study successfully improved the incapability of effectively constructing a cross-coded message transmission mode in the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) communication protocol, removed a single layer of encryption rule, and created an encryption mode capable of providing complex arrangement organization.
