About Astronomy
Aims
Astronomy (ISSN 2674-0346) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal on observational and theoretical astronomy, astrophysics, astroparticle physics, and cosmology, as well as on all aspects of gravitational physics. It focuses on publishing research articles, reviews and communications, but other article types will also be considered. Our aim is to publish high-quality, timely, experimental and theoretical research results of high quality in a rapid and readily accessible manner. There is, therefore, no restriction on the maximum length of the papers, although authors should write their papers in a clear and concise way.
Scope
The main subject areas include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Observational astronomy
- Observational astrophysics
- Observational cosmology
- Astroparticle physics
- Messengers of the early universe
- Theoretical cosmology
- Gravitational waves
- Gravitation and general relativity
- Dark matter and dark energy
- Quantum gravity
- Black hole physics
- Astronomy at all frequencies (from radio to gamma-rays)
- Neutrino astronomy
- Astronomy at all scales (from extragalactic to solar)
- Planetary sciences
