About Colorants
Aims
Colorants (ISSN 2079-6447) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal (free for readers) devoted to the publication of original papers, review articles, and communications related to all aspects of coloring matters, including physical or chemical properties, synthesis and preparation, applications, etc. The journal provides a medium for the publication of interdisciplinary papers on colorants for investigators with common interests but diverse fields of activity such as cosmetics, reprographics, dye and pigment synthesis, medical research, polymers, etc.
Scope
- Physical or chemical properties of colorants (e.g., spectroscopic, surface, solution or solid-state characteristics);
- Photo-chemical, ecological or biological properties of colorants;
- Synthesis and preparation of dyes, pigments and intermediates (e.g., precipitation, nucleation and growth, crystal formation);
- Interactions of colorants with substrates or media;
- Colorants applications (e.g., clothes, textiles, paints, plastics, photographs, prints, ceramics, surgery);
- Historical aspects of colorants;
- Natural colorants.
