The Role of Gas in Galaxy Dynamics

This conference will bring together world leading experts in galaxy dynamics and cosmology in order to promote collaborative efforts across theoretical, computational, and observational disciplines to try to answer to fundamental questions about the role of gas in galaxy dynamics and evolution.

Major topics include: Scaling Relations - Gas as a dynamical tracer at low z - The role of gas in disk galaxies - Gas in the Milky Way - The circulation of gas in galaxies - Gas in satellite galaxies - The role of gas in galaxy mergers - Quenching of galaxies

Invited Speakers: Frank Bigiel (University of Heidelberg), Joss Bland-Hawthorn (University of Sydney), Marcella Carollo (ETH Zürich), Francoise Combes (Paris Observatory), Andrew Fox (STScI), Filippo Fraternali (University of Bologna), Ken C. Freeman (Australian National University), Phil Hopkins (Caltech), Leslie Hunt (INAF/Osservatorio Astrofisico di Arcetri), Simon Lilly (ETH Zürich), Mary Putman (Columbia University), Florent Renaud (University of Surrey), Eva Schinnerer (Max Planck Institute for Astronomy)
