ISPRS TC I Mid-term Symposium

Established in 1910, the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) is devoted to the research, education and development of photogrammetry, remote sensing and spatial information sciences. The ISPRS currently has five technical commissions and the first of these (TC I) is for sensor systems. This commission comprises eight working groups and three inter-commission working groups (https://www2.isprs.org/commissions/comm1/). A technical commission symposium is held every four years.

The 2024 ISPRS TC I symposium will be held in Changsha, China, from May 13 to 17, 2024, focusing on the theme of Intelligent Sensing and Remote Sensing Applications. Centering around the research areas of the TC I and its working groups, the symposium will include a plenary session and technical sessions and will feature paper posters, a technology exhibition, and technical visits. A contest on intelligent interpretation for multi-modal remote sensing applications and tutorials will be held concurrently. Over 700 experts and scholars, heads of enterprises and public institutions, technicians and students from relevant fields from China and abroad are expected to attend and share their latest research findings, advanced technologies and application experience to discuss the future developments of their fields and to seek international cooperation in various forms.
