Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Endoscopic Middle ear surgery(EES) has been around for a while now and yet there is still a lot of scepticism behind its real value and whether it can fully or partially replace classic Microscopic ear surgery. For the last decade there are more Endoscopic ear surgery courses than traditional temporal bone courses for young aspiring ear surgeons eager to learn otology.
The aim of this special issue is to cover all issues related to EES aspects. Examples of topics include, but are not limited to:
- Endoscopic Tympanoplasty
- Endoscopic Ossiculoplasty
- Endoscopic Stapes Surgery
- Endoscopic Cochlear Impanatation
- Endoscopic Mastoid Surgery
- Truly Scarless Endoscopic Ear Surgery with sunthetic Grafs
- Issues of Training: Endoscopic Ear Surgery Courses v "Traditional" Temporal Bone Courses etc

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
