Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce a Special Issue on microfluidics-based point-of-care technologies in the Micromachines journal by MDPI. Microfluidic technologies have been developed over the past several decades, providing point-of-care solutions for healthcare, environmental monitoring, and food safety, among others. The aim of this Special Issue is to showcase cutting-edge research in the field of microfluidics-based point-of-care technologies, with a particular focus on the development of novel devices and techniques for rapid and accurate diagnostic testing.
We welcome original research papers and review articles on all aspects of microfluidics-based point-of-care technologies, including but not limited to microfluidic device design, microfabrication techniques, microfluidic sensors and actuators, lab-on-a-chip systems, and microfluidic-based sample preparation and analysis. In order to develop the next generation of point-of-care devices, we also encourage submissions on the integration of microfluidics with other technologies such as biosensors, microelectronics, and nanomaterials. We invite researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to submit their work to this exciting and timely Special Issue. We look forward to receiving your contributions and sharing the latest advances in microfluidics-based point-of-care technologies with our readers.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Micromachines is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.
