ETOX18-European Workshop on Bacterial Protein Toxins
ETOX18 will gather well-known world scientists as well as young researchers and students for stimulating exchanges and discussions in the field of bacterial protein toxins and other secreted virulence factors. Talks from world leaders, junior scientists, and students will contribute to present the multifaceted aspects of the bacterial protein toxins from the genetics and the regulation of their production to their structure, biochemical activity, interaction with host cells and tissues, including innate and adaptive immunological responses. A better understanding of bacterial protein toxins allows an improved comprehension of the pathophysiological processes but may also lead to development of appropriate therapeutic and preventive measures; the bacterial protein toxins also represent invaluable tools to dissect fundamental biological processes.
