Special Issue Information

Summary: The development of electrochemical-based chemical and biosensors is the focus of our research. This research endeavor involves thin- and thick-film microfabrication technologies, nanocatalysts, and sensing material selection, and immobilization of biocatalysts, such as enzymes, antibodies, and proteins. Electroanalytical measurement techniques, such as cyclic voltammetry, amperometry, and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and others, are also included in our research endeavor.

Dear Colleagues,

A Special Issue on “Recent Advancement and State-of-the-Art Electrochemical Sensors“ supported by Sensors MDPI is planned. Electrochemical sensors represent an important sensor transduction mechanism, and sensors are relatively simple to produce and to operate with high senitivity and selectivity. They are very unique, suitable for chemical, biochemical, and biomedical sensing and applications, and directly affect our environmental, industrial, and human health monitoring and safety. The preparation and publication of this Special Issue is very timely and shall alert the scientific community to the exciting advancements in electrochemical sensors and their potential applications. Hence, we invite you to contribute to this Special Issue by summitting your outstanding research advancements related to electrochemical sensors and their applications. Contributed manuscripts will be peer-reviewed by well-qualified reviewers, and a rapid decision on the status of the manuscript will be made by the Editoral Board of Sensors based on the results of the review.

We invite you to submit your manuscript(s) to this Special Issue on Recent Advancement and State-of-the-Art Electrochemical Sensors. The deadline for submissions to this Special Issue is 31 August 2020.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Sensors is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
