Special Issue Information

Dear colleagues,

The organizers of the XXXII International Workshop on High Energy Physics "Hot problems of Strong Interactions” https://indico.ihep.su/event/563/overview and Universe are going to produce a Special Issue.

The XXXII International Workshop on High Energy Physics "Hot problems of Strong Interactions” was devoted to recent developments and long standing problems of phase diagrams of strongly-interacting matter as well as of the physics of heavy quarks. A large range of topics have been discussed such as new findings in heavy-quark spectroscopy, doubly heavy baryons, tetraquarks, pentaquarks, heavy quarkonia, quarkonia production in heavy-ion collisions, etc. The main topic, phase diagrams of strongly-interacting matter, included the discussion of the phase structure of QCD at high temperature and baryon density, and the influence upon them of various conditions such as chiral and isospin densities, strong magnetic fields and vorticity, etc. QCD phase diagrams in the context of astrophysics, heavy-ion collisions and the early universe have been overviewed.

The Guest Editors of the Special Issue are happy to invite you to submit your paper for publication in this Special Issue of Universe.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Universe is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.

We revisited the mass spectra of the Ξcc++ baryon with positive and negative parity states using Hypercentral Constituent Quark Model Scheme with Coloumb plus screened potential. The ground state of the baryon has been determined by the LHCb experiment, and the anticipated excited state masses of the baryon have been compared with several theoretical methodologies. The transition magnetic moments of all heavy baryons Ξcc++, Ξcc+, Ωcc+, Ξbb0, Ξbb, Ωbb, Ξbc+, Ξbc0, Ωbc0 are also calculated and their values are −1.013 μN, 1.048 μN, 0.961 μN, −1.69 μN, 0.73 μN, 0.48 μN, −1.39 μN, 0.94 μN and 0.710 μN, respectively. We give a review of the calculations of the masses of tetraquarks with two and four heavy quarks in the framework of the relativistic quark model based on the quasipotential approach and QCD. The diquark-antidiquark picture of heavy tetraquarks is used. The quasipotentials of the quark-quark and diquark-antidiquark interactions are constructed similarly to the previous consideration of mesons and baryons. Diquarks are considered in the colour triplet state. It is assumed that the diquark and antidiquark interact in the tetraquark as a whole and the internal structure of the diquarks is taken into account by the calculated form factor of the diquark-gluon interaction. All parameters of the model are kept fixed from our previous calculations of meson and baryon properties. A detailed comparison of the obtained predictions for heavy tetraquark masses with available experimental data is given. Many candidates for tetraquarks are found. It is argued that the structures in the di-J/ψ mass spectrum observed recently by the LHCb collaboration can be interpreted as ccc¯c¯ tetraquarks. Full article
