Viroid-2018: International Conference on Viroids and Viroid-Like RNAs
Viroids occupy the lowest step in the scale of life. Exclusively constituted by a relatively small molecule of non-coding circular RNA, viroids manage to replicate, move and avoid the defense response when entering the appropriate host plant, causing in many instances important diseases in agricultural crops. In Viroid-2018, the international conference on viroids and viroid-like RNAs that will be held in Valencia (Spain) from 5 to 7 July 2018, the community of viroid researchers will present and discuss recent discoveries about all aspects of viroid and viroid-like RNA biology, including viroid replication, traffic and interaction with the host plant; structure of viroid molecules and functional domains; viroid transmission, pathogenesis and disease control; viroid diagnosis and identification of new viroid species.
