Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue, entitled “New Challenges in Interdisciplinary Water Resources Management”, will focus on the latest research and developments in the field of water resources management. This Special Issue will explore the challenges in water resources management in the 21st century and beyond, including climate change, population growth, urbanization and water pollution. This Special Issue will also discuss the latest interdisciplinary approaches to water resources management, such as integrated water resources management (IWRM), water security, nexus and water–climate security.

The purpose of the Special Issue is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to share their latest research and insights on the challenges in water resources management. This Special Issue will also provide a platform for discussion and debate on the latest trends in water resources management.

In addition to the articles that will be published in the Special Issue, there will also be a number of invited commentaries and discussions. These commentaries and discussions will provide additional insights into the challenges facing water resources management and the latest interdisciplinary approaches to water resources management.

The Special Issue is expected to be of interest to a wide range of readers, including researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and students. This Special Issue will provide a valuable resource for anyone who is interested in learning more about the challenges in water resources management in the 21st century and beyond.

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Water is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
