Status of Fungicide Resistance and Physiological Characterization of Tebuconazole Resistance in Rhizocotonia solani in Sichuan Province, China
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
In this paper, the authors reported the fungicide resistance and physiological characterization of Tubuconazole Resistance in Rhizocotonia salons in Sichuan Province, China. In general, the research is carried out accurately and the results were successfully obtained. However, there are several issues needed to be addressed.
Ln 146: "significantly lower", I suggest using the statistical method to show more details.
Figure 1-2: The graphs are very interesting, but it is difficult to tell whether they differ statistically significantly. Can you test the statistical significance? Thank you.
For figure 4,I would like to see more discussion regarding the evolutionary tree and gene structure part.

The Manuscript is dealing with a very up-to-date problem, how the various Rhizoctonia solani isolates are represented in the assessed soil-plant system and how they are contributing to some pesticides, used to control them. Such a topic is particularly interesting and needs detailed study about it, especially if we consider the demand for the reduction of such chemicals in agriculture. The used methods are both conventional and also have some modern ways of examination. The molecular techniques are helpful to understand the mechanisms behind the resistance levels. More than 100 isolates were investigated, which can be representative enough. Results are evaluated by appropriate statistical analysis. The tables and Figures are adequate and provide an easy way of following those results. The manuscript might be suggested for publication in its present form.
