REVISIONS

In the paper, the effect of temperature on the durability of the external wall insulation system is analyzed by ANSYS. The motivation/justification given by the authors to publish this article does not appear well defined in the abstract and conclusions. In general, the article is well structured and written, and introduces a novelty. The plagiarism is excellent-about 8%. Based on the results and method used, the reviewer recommends requesting some revisions subjects to the authors reflecting on the specific comments detailed below.

-Abstract. The authors already begin by highlighting the objective of the article. The authors should reflect on the motivation and novelty in the abstract. In addition, some numerical results should also be highlighted. The abstract should be more direct, especially mentioning the most significant numerical results obtained.

-Taking into account the previous point, reflect on what would be the significant contribution of the present study. Besides, the previous reference must be taken into account in the bibliographic review and discussion results.

-Some old or nonrelevance references in the introduction and discussions must be replaced by more recent citations about the topic.

 - Revise the English grammar in some parts

Reviewer 3 Report

The manuscript is an interesting piece of work. It provides simulated experience, taking in to account the stress and the effects of extreme weather conditions, especially in a commercial layer of the built environment.

The manuscript needs further development in order to clarify the experimental design ( a robust model is suggested, the ANSYS mesh parameters and software utilization and the assumptions and error analysis).

Furthermore the results need a deeper investigation for the simulated layer and the effect on the key parameters.

The conclusions are suggested to include the limitations of the study and future work which may required.

Language proofreading (e.g. 3.3) is recommended.

Round 2

Reviewer 3 Report

The manuscript has been improved. It needs further clarification on the argumentation of the model and recent references on it, especially the equations 5-8. References are needed through out the manuscript in order to clarify the design and the results.
