Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

I find this study very interesting and important as it seems problem-based. All the sections are well-written and explained properly. How I find a few errors that are highlighted in the pdf file using the comment function. Also, there are a few suggestions that I think will improve the quality of this manuscript.

Reviewer 2 Report

This manuscript studies the dioxins levels in different soil samples for developing the Chinese baseline soil dioxins database. It seems as a completed work and has environmental and health impacts. The content of this manuscript is good, has some novelty, and I therefore recommend a minor revision before publication

Reviewer 3 Report

The paper is assessed as valuable because it systematically compiles data on DXNs.

1) FIgure 5,6,7 : Please state the units of measure for the figures described in these figures.

2) TheDXNs produced is also influenced by the conditions of the incinerator, such as combustion conditions. We feel that it would be easier to understand if there was more information on the incinerators surveyed in this study. Please add this information to the extent possible.
