Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsFirst of all, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to review this interesting article.
Here are some comments I left behind.
1. Literature review needs to summarize its own research innovations after reviewing previous studies. At present, the article only reviews the previous research, but does not show its own research innovation.
2. The relationship between commercial street format and crowd activity characteristics should be further expanded and analyzed.
3. The discussion should link the obtained results with the current literature in a critical spirit. In addition, the conclusion should be strengthened.

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsWhile the study offers valuable insights, the scope is confined to a single commercial district in Nanjing. It is recommended that the authors expand the discussion to explore the applicability of their findings to other commercial districts or cities, thereby enhancing the generalizability of the research.
The data collection timeframe is limited, which may not fully represent the crowd activity patterns during different seasons or special events. The authors are advised to discuss how this limitation might affect the research outcomes in the discussion section and propose how future studies could overcome this issue.
The quantitative analysis in the article demonstrates the correlation between crowd activities and commercial street formats. However, there is a lack of in-depth exploration of the causal relationships. The authors should consider incorporating more complex statistical or machine learning models to further dissect these relationships.
The literature review mentions previous studies, but the discussion lacks a comparative analysis with existing research findings. The authors are encouraged to include a comparison with similar studies in the existing literature, particularly focusing on the similarities and differences in methods and outcomes.
The article proposes a regression analysis model but provides insufficient validation of the model's effectiveness. The authors should offer more evidence regarding the validity of the model, such as its predictive performance and sensitivity analysis.
The authors might consider extending the study to include a wider range of commercial districts or employing data from different cities to increase the study's generalizability.

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsCompliments to the authors for the presented research and the effort made to achieve the novelty approach to crowd studying.
Some minor modifications of the manuscript are suggested in the form of additional explanations in order to present the research more clearly.
Best regards

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsThis article proposes a new framework for the analysis of crowd activities to explore the spatial activity patterns of crowds and to understand the dynamic spatial needs of people by analyzing their correlations with local formats. Concretely, we aim to establish a regression analysis model through selection of variables of commercial street formats to assess their impact on crowding activities.
The introduction is correctly formulated, and the literature review part is complete and offers an up-to-date bibliography.
The study is prepared correctly, the conclusions are supported by the results obtained.
There are certain limitations of the study, but they are correctly stated and assumed in subchapter 5.2.
I want to congratulate the authors for the article.
