Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This paper is interesting and well-written. The proposed SOKT-IAR-LVD is computationally efficient on weak target detection. One concern is that the references are not new enough, so that it's better to add some some new and relevant literature.

Reviewer 2 Report

This paper proposed a coherent integration and parameter estimation method for constant radial acceleration weak target. The topic is interesting. However, before publication some concerns should be addressed and some minor revisions should be made.

1. Place the question in a broader context in the abstract. The purpose ‘In order to enhance the detection capacity to the constant acceleration weak targets’ is introduced at the beginning of the article. So, why do we need to detect constant acceleration weak targets?

2. The new idea in the proposed method can be highlighted. The proposed method seems to be a synthesis of other existing methods mentioned in introduction.

3. Line 104: The abbreviation is inconsistent with the full name.

4. How are the parameters of rotation angle searching area and scaling factor determined in the simulation algorithm? Why can you choose this rotation angle searching area, can you choose smaller or larger?

5. Line 345: ‘… almost the as…,  ‘same’ is missed.

6. To what degree a 'weak' target can be processed by the proposed method? An index of SNR should be given in both the abstract and the conclusion.

Reviewer 3 Report

This paper presents a coherent integration and parameter estimation method for maneuvering weak target based on SOKA-IAR-LVD. Generally, the topic is interesting and the manuscript is well written. However, there are several minor issues to be accounted before considering publication in this journal.

1. The principle of the second-order keystone transform (SOKT) needs to be added in the beginning of Section 3, since the SOKT is a key step of the developed algorithm.

2. The system parameter used to obtain the results listed in Table 3 should be presented. Moreover, please double check the computational cost of RLVD. It seems that the computational cost of RLVD will not so higher than that of the proposed algorithm. If the result is correct, please present the reason more clearly.

3. The long time coherent integration (LTCI) is a promising technique field. Although the authors have made a good literature review, there are still several recently published works which are strongly related to this paper. It is recommended to add these published papers into the new version.
