Reviewer 1 Report

(1)      The writing style of radicals should be corrected according to the following reference: “Koppenol, W. (2000). "Names for inorganic radicals (IUPAC Recommendations 2000)." Pure and Applied Chemistry 72(3): 437-446.”

(2)      Some other emerging advanced oxidation processes, such as Chemical Engineering Journal 409: 128176, Separation and Purification Technology 288: 120716, Chemical Engineering Journal 451: 138588, Chinese Chemical Letters 33(4): 2125-2128 should be citied in introduction.

(3)      Section 2.4: Is it reliable to measure the degradation of norfloxacin by UV-visible spectrophotometer other than HPLC? Pls compare the difference between two methods.

Comments to the authors

The manuscript reports synthesis of PbO2 coated Ni foam as electrocatalyst for the electrochemical degradation of norfloxacin. Designing stable, economical and an effective electrocatalyst for pollutants remediation especially antibiotics degradation have received increased attention in the last few decades. The present work affords a promising strategy for the designing effective and economical electrocatalyst for norfloxacin. I suggest major revision for quality enhancement, which are given bellow.

1.      The manuscript contains huge grammatical and typographical mistakes which need correction and the language need sufficient improvement.

2.      Remove the word “that” from line 20 in the abstract.

3.      In the introduction section, mention some adverse effects of antibiotics present in water bodies.

4.      In the introduction section discuss some catalytic and electrocatalytic applications of PbO2 and Ni.

5.      Explain organic pollutants in the introduction from the articles and cite in the manuscript “Water 2022, 14, 242. https://doi.org/10.3390/w14020242 and Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering 8 (2020) 104364”.

6.      Line 111, write the mathematical equation in standard equation form.

7.      Remove the word “different” from the caption of figure 1.

8.      Line 155 and 156, the authors mentioned TEM and mapping images while in the manuscript there is no TEM and mapping images.

9.      Why the Carbon (C) peak is present in the EDX spectra.

10.  In the effect of pH study, why the effect of acidic medium is not studied?

11.  Line 287, mhy the word nano-diamonds is used here?

12.  Used the word sustainability along with stability.

13.  Check the data of table 1 carefully for any error.

14.  Line 299, the font size of this line are not uniform. Check it.

The manuscript is sufficiently modified however the figures are not provided. Provides the figures for the detail understanding

Author Response

Thanks a lot. The figures will uploaded again.

Round 3

Reviewer 3 Report

Papers is sufficiently modified and can be accepted after correction of minor spellings mistakes. Merge figure 5 a,b and c into a single figure.

Author Response

We express our heartfelt thanks to the reviewer for your evaluation to the manuscript. We have attached the Figure 5 with the combined pictures into one. Moreover, the manuscript was readed again cearfully, and the mistakes in spelling was changed. The revised manuscript was up;oaded with this system.
