The authors of the article entitled Design and verification of the variable capacity roller-wheel precision rice direct seed metering device discussed the topic related to the appropriate dose of sowing rice seeds. They developed and verified a roller metering device to improve the quality of sowing. Additionally, theoretical and parametric analysis of the sowing wheel and the seed dosing mechanism was carried out.

The main producers of rice in the world are China and India, but the entire world production per year amounts to about 500 million tons per year, therefore the topic taken up by the Authors is very important.

In the introduction, valuable information would be to provide just how the production of rice is changing, who produces the most, so that the reading room could refer to the scale of the problem.

It would be worthwhile for the conclusions to be described more extensively and more precisely how the obtained results affect the sowing quality.

The manuscript needs minor revisions.
In my opinion, similar solutions already exist (also sowing other plant species). The authors should emphasize exactly why this solution is so important for the development of technology. In my opinion, the discussion should be a separate section. it is an important part of the manuscript.

Additional notes to the article "Design and verification of the variable capacity roller-wheel 2 precision rice direct seed metering device": A scientific paper should consist of the following parts: Introduction, Materials and methods, Results and discussion, Conclusions. There is no discussion at work. In the Results and discussion part, it was necessary to add a discussion.  It is necessary to add a discussion on the technical solutions used not only by the Chinese authors of the publications. The introduction should be edited. Points 2 and 3 should be included in the methodology. Some of the information from the introduction can be included as a discussion.

Besides, I think the job is interesting.

This article aimed to design, fabricate, and verify a variable capacity roller-wheel precision rice direct seed metering device. It provided technical and practical references for the innovative design of rice precision seed metering devices and provided an important machine innovation for the development of precision agriculture. The article is well written and presented. Some minor corrections are needed.

In the introduction section, remove the dot after [] when citing reference at the beginning of the sentence.

Page 3, Figure 1, the forced seeding mechanism is not marked on the configuration diagram.

Page 4-8, avoid writing unit before the actual unit it is enough to just write unit in the brackets

Page 8, In Figure 5 a, provide explanation for 1-4 parts

Page 9, Add city and country information for the Agricultural Machinery Equipment Laboratory of the National Agricultural Intelligent Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center
