Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Thank you so much for your revised manuscript. Their conclusion was important in case of decision of liver transplantation for HCC. They may imply abnormal hematological and organismal defects postoperatively. We need further investigation about this topic.Reviewer 2 Report
Thanks to the authors for addressing my concerns. I have no further comments.
Reviewer 3 Report
The retrospective study by Chen et al examined neutrophil:lymphocyte ratio and its persistence following living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) as a prognostic factor for all-cause mortality. The persistently elevated subgroup is characterized by decompensated cirrhotic disease, poor nutritional / metabolic, and impaired hematopoiesis. Pre-transplant biopsy confirms impairments in the liver stem cell compartment and impaired transcriptions of genes associated with DNA repair. The revisions to the manuscript have improved its overall presentation and I congratulate the authors on their work.
