Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Thank you for your paper which pushes the situations of transpeople in Portugal (and probably elsewhere) onto the social science research agenda. That said, your arguments would be strengthened considerably if you interviewed (say) 6 transpeople, males and females, thereby permitting a comparison. At present, rather that concluding that your present evidence is an agenda for ‘action’ (lines 399-404) you will be on firmer ground if you focus on (and develop) the agenda for further research (lines 407-414).

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The article provides valuable insights into the professional integration of trans individuals in Portugal and the role of LGBT+ associations. It is well-structured and covers significant ground but could benefit from addressing the identified areas for improvement to enhance clarity, depth, and academic rigor.

First of all, an introduction. It requires improvement and a clear indication of the research goal. The entire study should strive to answer this question, which the author should address in conlusions.
By introducing these elements clearly, the article will gain in clarity.

In section 2: Materials and Methods: Please provide more details on the selection criteria and justify the small sample size.

The results section provides detailed insights into the work of LGBT+ associations and the challenges faced by trans individuals. However, some sections are repetitive and could be condensed for clarity.

Moreover, maybe it would be worth collecting the obtained answers into some graphs? so as to see the entire cross-section of the results obtained (this is only my suggestion, I do not know if it is feasible considering the type of study)

Abstract also could be improved. It provides a succinct summary of the research aims, methods, and findings. However, the abstract could benefit from clearer articulation of specific results and implications.
