Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The document presents an interesting and relevant analysis, which may be useful and inspiring to other researchers or design teams. The authors are congratulated and its diffusion is recommended.

Author Response

Thank you very much for your review and encouragement.

Reviewer 2 Report

The article states between the ear dimension effect and the earphone size. This research seems to make sense only if without investigating the sound reproductions of each earphone. So, I don't feel any judgment on the observation of subjective results. However, the below suggestions for the clustering parts might increase the scientific quality of this article. Please considering.

1. Please explain the assumptions and conditions of the Kmean method. Why two clusters? How about distinguished into 3,4,5 groups, are there any different effects on the results?
2. Differentiations of ear dimension between the people from the USA, Europe, and Asia are huge. The detailed information might splitter in your clustering region.
3. Based on the results of this study, the relationship between the design quality of earphone size and subjects should be given by cluster results.

Reviewer 3 Report

This paper investigates the wearing comfort of wireless earphones. Six ear dimensions and four major factors related to wearing comfort were selected. A total 38 participants' opinion were collected.

This paper discussed these issues in detail and give conclusion according to their findings. However, I hope the authors can improve the universality of their findings. Try to verify their findings can serve as a basis for the future design.

Reviewer 4 Report

In this paper, the authors have proposed an analysis on wearing comfort of earphones based on the effect of ear dimensions and product attributes. The study is very interesting. However, several concerns in the current stage of manuscript need to be addressed before consideration of acceptance, as follows:

To make the manuscript self-contained and more readable, make sure all the variables have been fully specified after each equation.

Please add more discussion and limitations of the proposed method.

To outstand the novelty of the method, more discussions, comparisons, and literatures should be added in the introduction.

Is there any other limitation of the proposed idea? Such as the specific or limited ranges of working environment or conditions? Is the proposed architecture still valid under other environments?

Carefully recheck grammar, fonts, and typo errors.
