Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This paper proposes an economic and precise model for the electric cooling system, which includes modeling of engine heat rejection. I would like to ask for some minor revisions before acceptance.

  1. Please make a consistent Reference format, especially for different issues and page missings.
  2. The yellow 3D plottings in Fig. 2,3,12, and 13 are poor. Please differentiate other colors like Black and White.
  3. Overall plot's image quality is too poor. Please increase the resolution to 150 PPI, to meet the quality of Applied Sciences.
  4. It is not acceptable not to include Applied Sciences' papers in Reference. At least 5 papers should be included.
  5. Figure 10 should be changed into several 2D plots with more discussion.
  6. Abstract and Conclusions should be explained in a more concise way.
  7. This is too case-specificDK32, so you need more justification in the Introduction by adding related references in the Introduction.
  8. For all graphs, n should be italic.
  9. Please add nomenclature.
  10. This is not good for presenting only the china emission standard in the Conclusion and discussion. Please compare with International Standard with more consideration in Conclusion.

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper discusses an interesting topic of engine cooling. Mechanizal and electrical systems are compared. From my point of view the model description is too general, the presented maps are not clear.

Thank you for the response.

One issue: please make unite font as "times" as the degree C is slightly different.

This paper can be accepted for publication.

Please see one more time for the typo.
