This research is interesting to show how to minimize the parts number for the customized production. It is important in the custom-made furniture industry where production efficiency and cost reduction are not the first priority.
However, similar attempts are already done in other manufacturing industries, such as automobile parts production where parts standardization and common platforms are in progress.
It would be better if the authors identified the level of the wood industry in China and the current problem of productivity and wooden material loss.
Also, not only analyzing the improvement processes, it is better how to implement the new system for the organization and human resources management to do it.

Thanks to the authors for this interesting article. For publication, this reviewer identifies some drawbacks that not allow the publication of the work in its current state.
1.- Keywords are not suitable. They must be reviewed and expanded
2.- The wording of the text must be revised.
---------There are sentences that are not understood correctly. for example:..."that forms part families of parts with similar structures, materials, and processes, and designs processes specifically for the part families for production"...;
------- Sentences are sometimes too long (such as lines 36 to 42)
------- there are spelling errors
3 - The introduction does not make clear the contribution of the research. The objectives of the paper should be expanded, and also clarify how they are carried out, as well as the structure of the article.
4- Section 2 requires an introduction where the process and methodology used in the research are indicated. I propose with a flow chart
5- Section 2.1 is not very detailed. the authors should expand it
6- There are important but not very detailed parts of the paper. the authors should include, for example with tables, relevant technical information about the analysis carried out (for example, line 86 on manufacturing processes)
7- What optimization technique was used? not clear in section 2.2.2
8 - the structure of the article is not clear. especially the results and discussion section. This section should be rewritten in line with section 2 of methodology. Lines 200 to 206, why are they included?
9- Conclusions introduce new information not included in the main text.
10- Please translate figure 4.

Authors have improved the paper. But there are still some errors that need to be corrected before publication.
- Authors have not updated the study of the scientific and technical literature (section 1 or new section 2 background). 27 references are too few for a scientific article (you can consult other papers in the journal) . In addition, the references must be updated and collect the current state and evolution of the line of study (similar studies, theories, frameworks, research ...)
- check the numbering of the sections. There are errors (for example, after section 2.3, appear 2.2.1)
