Reviewer 3 Report

The submission to be considered for publication in the journal reports the potential use of base-bleed control to modulate the flow between turbine blade rows. Overall, the paper is of good quality and might give some inspirations from a different point of view on this topic. Some suggestions are provided for the authors' consideration.

1. The abstract is too simple.

2. Literature survey is not sufficient to present the most updated R&D status for further justification of the originality of the paper. More critical review should be added to the paper with reference to latest published papers.

3. The scale of the abscissa in Figs. 5, 7 and 10 need to be modified.

4. The conclusion section is too general. Reformulate it to present the main results/significance of the work.
