This paper examines the effect of wood medium on dispersion parameters of prefabricated spherical fragments in forest. It is an important research to study the effect of forest environment on the damage performance of prefabricated fragment warhead and obtain the relationship between the wood medium and the residual velocity of prefabricated fragments. It can be accepted by Applied Sciences after addressing the following issues:

 

Comment 1: Abstract and conclusion should be more highlighted.

 

Comment 2: Introduction should detailedly summarize the latest progress and research status of the damage resistance of wood materials subjected to instantaneous impact.

 

Comment 3: Figures 3 and 4 should be merged into one graph.

 

Comment 4: The resolution of Figure 5 should be improved.

 

Comment 5: Figures 6 and 7 should be merged into one graph.

 

Comment 6: Figures 11 and 12 should be merged into one graph.

 

Comment 7: If possible, Graphical Abstract needs to be added for an effective summary of this work.
