Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper is well written. It would be better if the results are supported by experiemental studies.

Dear authors, the article is very well written. Still, I will provide you with some feedback. Please address the following comments.

In the introduction, you mentioned, “However, some disadvantages of the fuel cell systems such as low-and-unregulated output voltage and excessive ripples of output current [6] restrain their applicability in real-life applications.” Please modify it to clarify when there is an excessive amount of ripple in the output current of the FC; the problem is the converter (for example, the boost converter). That’s a reason to use converters with low input current ripple (for example, the converter you are using). Bu the way, this converter is better known as a double dual boost converter, and it has been investigated by other authors. You can find more information about this converter in the following article, “A family of double dual DC-DC converters” from (PEMD 2022).

Could you please mention what the requirements of the converter are compared to the traditional PID converter? i.e., how many variables you need to measure, etc. And finally, could you mention why you didn´t include experimental results? Which is usually present in articles proposing controllers.

The author presented "An Improved Voltage Regulation Performance of Floating Interleaved Boost Converters for Fuel cell Applications subject to Input Variation and Load Change" with numerical derivation & simulation study. The author should incorporate following points:

1. Add experimental results for this proposed system.

2. Abstract should rewrite, with numerical results of the system

3. Will this study is suitable for all type of DC-DC converters? why you used  floating interleaved boost converters, why not other converters? show comparison results with other methods.

4. how this generalized super-twisting algorithm one is flexible for dc-dc with fuel cell system?
