Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The topic is very current in the context of climate change and extreme weather phenomena occurring more and more frequently in the world.

A research hypothesis should be put forward.

The experiment was carried out well according to adequate methods.

Lack of soil conditions in the experiment. Please complete the data connected to soil conditions – for example pH soil, content of N, P, K, Ca, Mg.

Please  complete the doses of mineral fertilizers used in wheat cultivation. Have other industrial fertilizers been applied (potassium salt, superphosphate)?

When glyphosate was applied?

204 When harvesting spring wheat, three rows of plants with uniform growth were selected from each plot to determine the yield, 1000 grain weight and then five plants were randomly selected to determine the plant height, grain number per panicle and biomass 33.  - Was it a manual harvesting of plants?

The results obtained come from one growing season of wheat (2020 year). Do you have the results of 2021? It would be possible to make a synthesis of results from 2 years (different weather conditions).

The manuscript "applsce-1553074" should be reconsidered for re-evaluation after minor corrections. In this study, the authors have made an effort to measure different types of plowing and fertilization treatments and the influence these factors have on crop yield.

The introduction section does its job by setting out in detail the background and objectives of the study. The methodology section is well established. The results section contains some comments on improvements in the figures that should be considered. In the discussion section a numerical comparison of the crop yield results with other similar crop studies would be necessary. This is to give an idea of the behaviour of the crop with respect to the treatments.

Comments and suggestions should be addressed by the authors before the manuscript can be considered suitable for publication.
