The work is solid, however, the following issues should be addressed before the paper can be considered.

1.       Why antenna element chooses a C-shaped strip and two triangle-shaped strips? There should be a theoretical analysis

2.       Why isolation structure chooses a T-shaped groove with two rectangular strips and a T-shaped groove connected? There should be a theoretical analysis

3.       As to the DGS or meta-atom utilized to reduce mutual coupling, the following work may set a solid review in this area. (Hilbert-shaped magnetic waveguided metamaterials for electromagnetic coupling reduction of microstrip antenna array”, IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, Vol. 49, No. 4, pp. 1526-1529, 2013; Ultra-small single-negative electric metamaterials for electromagnetic coupling reduction of microstrip antenna array”, Optics Express, Vol. 20, No. 20, pp. 21968-21976, 2012)

4.       In Fig. 12(b), the caption of 5 GHz H-plane should be marked with wrong frequency. The co-polarization and cross-polarization of simulation and measurement results should be marked in Fig. 12(b).

5.       The discrepancy between simulations and measurements are large, there should be an omnidirectional radiation in H plane while a dipole radiation in E plane, however, results do not show such a behavior. Does it can be used?

6.       It cannot be concluded from Figure. 8 that the value of maximum SAR is obtained at 3.4 GHz and 4.9 GHz, respectively. The authors should check.

7.       More discussions should be added for Figures 7 and 8

This work presents A Wideband Eight-Element Antenna with High Isolation for 2 5G NR Applications. The antenna structure is very interesting for the reader. However, some concerns should be addressed before publication:

1- What is the software that is used to simulate the structure and generate the results ?

2- What is the connector that used through the fabrication and measurement?

3- Did the author take in consideration the loading effect of the connector?

4- How is the fabrication has been done ? which fabrication process are used?/

5-Fig. 12 should has a legend to show to differentiate between the measured and simulation.?

6- How the efficiency is measured??

In this paper a wideband eight-element antenna with high  isolation for 5G applications is designed and fabricated. The fabricated device is measured and measurement results validate the simulation. The paper is well organized and can be accepted after some modifications listed as follows:

-        It is better to used “5G New Radio (NR)” in the Title instead of “5G NR”.

-        Briefly add explanations about fifth-generation (5G) maybe blow paper is helpful: Filtering Power Divider Design Using Resonant LC Branches for 5G Low-Band Applications. Sustainability. 2022 Sep 27;14(19):12291.

-        Size should be provided versus wave length (λ).

-        References should be updated and more new related works should be added in the introductions.

-        Bandwidth should be compared in the Table 1.

-        The multiplexing efficiency (ME) curves and related explanations should be added.

-        The equations which not belong to authors should be cited.

-        The related curves of diversity gain, which calculated in line 181 should be provided.

-        The channel capacity loss (CCL) should be calculated and related curves should be provided.

-        Some parts (Text, definitions, figures and etc) of manuscript is similar to [R1], which previously published by authors. This similarity restrict the novelty of proposed work. Modified these parts.

Reviewer 2 Report

The authors have addressed most of my concerns, however, the innovation should be strengthened in introduction and gramatical issues  should be carefully checked in the whole manucript. It is hard to identify the what is the innovation and motivation in introduction. Therefore, a minor revision is necessary.

Author Response

We have revised the introduction. The innovation has been added in the introduction, and the grammatical issues have been checked and revised in the whole manuscript.

Reviewer 3 Report

The authors answered my questions and the paper is good for publication
