Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Comment 1: The literature review is needed to be discussed in detail. The research gaps are not mentioned clearly.

Comment 2: A flow chart of the methodology can be added that will enhance the quality of the manuscript.

Comment 3: The discussion part is not there. A separate section on discussion should be included.

Comment 4: More references should be added as there is very less number of references.

Comment 5: A minor check of the grammatical errors and formatting can help in enhancing the quality of the manuscript.

**************All the best************************************************

Language is fine however a check for minor errors in grammar and formatting is required.

According to my opinion authors must rewrite this manuscript in the professional manner. Quality of presentation and the level of English language is very low. Authors must omit the basic information which is already known and focus more on their findings.

Authors should re-write this manuscript to get published.

Very low ... Authors should try to write a reasonable level of English

Reviewer 3 Report

The paper presents a clear and concise analysis of the SMDV phenomenon and its impact on deep-sea sediment. The results are well-supported by data and simulations. The paper is good and can be accepted as it is. However, one suggestion for improvement is to elaborate on how the interaction between the SMDV and deep-sea sediment was modeled. What assumptions and parameters were used? How did they affect the accuracy and validity of the model?

Authors  are required to improve the quality of the manuscript before it get published. I think authors still require English  improvement and extensive revision of manuscript.

Extensive revision required
