I reviewed your manuscript “Recent advances in H2S removal from gas streams” very carefully. The work carried out in the manuscript is interesting and seems logical. The authors have added good technical value to the field and the readers will benefit. However, there are several errors in this work and before publication, it needs to restructure the research manuscript properly as the current presentation is not acceptable. Therefore, I would like to recommend this manuscript for "Major Revision".

Abstract needs to be modified.

There are several paragraphs in introduction section. Authors must read some scientific papers and then rewrite

Coke oven gas?

I am not satisfied with introduction. Authors must cleary write whats the need to capture H2S

Same problem in materials- excess of paragraphs

Whats the role of adsorption in capturing H2S. Authors must explain
