Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This paper study the Energy Productivity Potential of Offshore Wind in Poland and cooperation with Onshore Wind Farm. The following problems still exist, and the author is suggested to revise them carefully.

1. In the introduction:

-Please enhance the innovations or contributions of the paper, and summarize 1~3 items.

-Please add the description of each sections in the last paragraph of introduction.

2. Please explain in details how the cooperation between the offshore wind farm and onshore wind farm. And why should they cooperate? And the purpose of this study must be clear.

3. Please explain the figure 3 in details in the paper.

4. In the Conclusions: Please summarize the results and contributions of this article.

5. The author's references are too narrow, and most of them focus on MDPI. It is suggested to add the following relevant research and discuss:

Reviewer 2 Report

The study analyzed the impact of offshore wind energy on the ability of the Polish power system to meet power demand. An algorithm for estimating the energy productivity of offshore wind turbines has also been presented. The authors have systematically performed the calculations for wind turbine power, specific yield, capacity factor, etc.

Some concerns are:

1. The paper style/content falls close to “Report” rather than “Article”. Please highlight your contribution in more detail at the end of the Introduction Section and/or at the appropriate place in the manuscript by providing more results.

2. Some sentences are incomplete. For example,

·         Equation for wind speed based on ERA5 data: [line 150]

·         Calculation of hourly specific yield values (per MW) of onshore wind turbines - 169 based on historical hourly data on energy production and monthly values of installed 170 power - equation: [line 169-170]

3. Proofread the paper to avoid grammatical errors.

Good luck!
