The journal retracts the article “Continual Learning Approach for Continuous Data Stream Analysis in Dynamic Environments” [1].
Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the publisher regarding an overlap with previously published work [2,3,4] with different authorship groups.
Adhering to our complaint’s procedure, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and Editorial Board, which confirmed a diverse and significant overlap with the previously published studies [2,3,4]. More specifically, Figure 2 was confirmed to overlap with a figure from [2]; Figures 3 and 4 were confirmed to overlap with [3]; and Figures 5 and 6 and Formulas 1–3 and 5–12 were confirmed to overlap with [4], without appropriate citation. Given the extent of this overlap, the Applied Sciences Editorial Office has taken the decision to retract [1] in order to preserve academic integrity.
Dr. K. Prasanna would like to take responsibility for the overlapping content contained within this publication.
This retraction was approved by the Editor in Chief of the journal Applied Sciences.
The authors agreed to this retraction.
