I think this review constitutes a good source for the field"s readership to follow the technical development, improvement/innovation and evolution. The work is well done and and professionally inspiring. I made small suggestions at the abstract and the beginning f the introduction.

Response 1: Thank you very much for your comments. All your comments on abstract and introduction were applied. Acronyms on the abstract were removed and through the introduction and rest of the manuscript, acronyms were introduced.

 

Reviewer 2 Report

The overall paper is the result of a thorough analysis of massive data collection. It is well structured and focuses on the current applications and perspectives of HIFU. The authors use a plethora of examples within each section to expand the goals of this technology for readers.

Nevertheless, some points shall be pointed out to yield an improved paper with better readability, comprehension and strongly supported by a widening number of bibliographic sources:

The language is overall readable but the English must be improved, namely expressions and too long sentences. Avoid flourish terms. The references provided contain the examples stressed in the text. However, the bibliography can be slightly extended to incorporate recent articles with fresh examples of HIFU applications and a stronger background.

Despite the previous points, the overall comments shall encourage the authors to rewrite some parts of the document in order to achieve an excellent final paper.
