Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors' submitted manuscript is very interesting and the current state of the art and methodology are properly presented.

A minor typo in line 277: "Esperance" found instead of "Expectance"

This paper gives many experiment results but without theory introduction. I have the following comments:

  1. The title should present the main contribution of this paper, while the current title is more like a survey paper.

2 The related work is missing. The authors should introduce the recent works related with this paper.

  1. Where are Fig.2-4 come from? If they are cited from existing works, it is not necessary to present again. Otherwise, please give more details on the experiments.
  2. The references are too old. Please introduce the recent works.
  3. There are still grammar errors or typos. For example, the “keyword” in Keywords.

Reviewer 3 Report

Major remark concerns Point 4. This point seems to be little bit out of the scope of the former paragraphs and the practical development of the correlator. Link between this point and the ones before is somehow missing.

I suggest the authors to consider the following:

a) to remove this point. It could be the topic of another paper/letter.

b) if this point remains the relation and relevance with the previous should be better outlined.  The allegation of this point should be much better justified. Also I do not think that the contents in this point related to "correlation technologies". The use of the word technology is not in place. Could be maybe correlation "methods, approaches, techniques...

Other remarks:

The contributions of the paper should be clearly outlined - also in the conclusion.

Spell check required (example line 60: "The proposed correlation technologies in overcoming limitations...)

Reviewer 4 Report

The paper is original and well written. The correlation technologies for wireless applications with proper mathematical interpretations and analysis of Information-Signal Theory and Physical-Information Theory is well presented. Hence I recommend to accept the publication with following minor changes.

  1. It is advised authors to add a comparison table of the performance parameters of various correlation technologies of existing (Recent) literature with proposed works
